About the Artist: Geneva Reed is a Chicago landscape and cityscape photographer. Geneva is a self-taught photographer who began capturing images as a teenager. She captured images in her neighborhood, during summer vacations, at school, and while serving in the Illinois Army National Guard. Geneva loves capturing picturesque moments. In August 2021, Geneva Reed Photographic Art was formed, and later, Geneva began exhibiting her photography in local galleries in the south suburbs of Chicago and beyond. Geneva has won several awards and honorable mentions for her photography. Chicago Fire and Ice was selected as the cover design for the Windows Fine Arts Magazine, produced by Lewis University, in 2024. Currently, Geneva is working on her first photography book and photographing her hometown of Chicago. A visual love letter to a city that shaped her, from childhood into adulthood, in all its beauty. Geneva is a juried artist member of the Chicago Society of Artists, Tall Grass Arts Association, and a member of the Chicago Area Camera Club Association/Foresters Camera Club. The Through My Eyes series is a collection of scenic landscapes and cityscapes seen through her eyes. Geneva hopes her photography will capture your imagination, inspire conversations, and grace the walls of your homes and offices.
