We are excited to announce that the Veteran Art Institute has partnered with The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation to honor those who served while supporting our cause.
With every $15 donation you make, The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation will be able to purchase an additional bouquet of flowers to place at Arlington National Cemetery over Memorial Day Weekend. The Veteran Art Institute will also receive $5 for our own programs.
Since 2011, The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation has provided flowers and bouquets to cemetery visitors to place at Arlington National Cemetery over the Memorial Day weekend. This is a quiet and personal tribute to remember and thank those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
VOLUNTEER
For those who will be in the Washington DC Area on Memorial Day weekend: you can sign up to volunteer with The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation here: https://memorialdayflowers.org/volunteer
All volunteers will receive a tote bag of 100+ flowers for placement at graves. Volunteers are asked to place a flower before a headstone, quietly read the inscription, and take a moment to thank the interred for their service.
