About the Artist:

Creating visual images that invite self‑reflection and ignite the healing process is at the heart of my artistic purpose. As a Vietnam‑era U.S. Navy veteran, I find profound meaning in guiding therapeutic art groups within the veteran community, where creativity becomes a bridge to resilience, connection, and renewed inner strength.

My work has traveled far beyond the studio—appearing in interior art installations, restoration projects, and national venues including Dulles International Airport, the Library of Congress, and New York’s historic Salmagundi Gallery. Each piece is created with the intention of awakening the senses, honoring lived experience, and offering a visual language where words often fall short.

Military Service: Army

Service Status: Veteran

State: GA

About the Artist:

I enlisted in the Army in the Summer of 2001 for the extremely patriotic reasons of college money, security clearance, and the opportunity to learn a foreign language. I had notions of being in the CIA if I decided that my primary plan of going to law school proved too dull. I, of course, did not know that half way through basic training 19 members of Al-Qaeda would launch attacks on New York City and the Pentagon, changing my life's path. Having enlisted as a soldier led me to a year of combat operations in Iraq. Wanting a security clearance and foreign language led me to learning Arabic and becoming an intelligence collector and analyst. This path took me through 16 years of counter-insurgency, counter-terrorism, regime change, and special operations. What was supposed to be a side-quest turned into the primary mission and what I've diluted to a few sentences is actually a mural, patterned in struggle, highlighted in victories and lives saved, and shadowed in the loss of friends and comrades, and 'enemies' killed, who I never forgot were people too. This life provided me with great purpose, but also cost me humanity. Killing is unnatural, no matter your cause, and its price is steep. Now, I live in Sandersville, Georgia, about an hour and a half from Augusta, where I spent a good portion of my life working for everyone's favorite alcoholic uncle, the US government. Making art, whether acrylic paintings, charcoal, pencil drawings, painted miniatures, is one of my loves.... but I do other stuff too. Until recently, I was a teacher, because kids are awesome and adults are tedious. I love the outdoors and sneak off to the northwoods whenever humanly possible. I am married to an amazing accomplished wife and have three kids, all boys, God help me.

About the Artist:

I founded Design My Prints in 2021. My creative brand is dedicated to designing military-inspired artwork that honors the service, sacrifice, and culture of America’s armed forces. After serving 14 years in the Army, I found a new mission through art—creating designs that resonate with veterans, active-duty service members, and military families.

My work blends military heritage with modern graphic design to produce posters, stickers, apparel graphics, and custom artwork that capture both the pride and humor of military life. From commemorating unit traditions to illustrating the everyday experiences that only service members truly understand, I strive to create artwork that is authentic, meaningful, and memorable.

Design My Prints was founded on the belief that military service leaves a lasting impact, and that art is a powerful way to preserve those stories. Every design is created with attention to detail and respect for the men and women who have worn the uniform.

About the Artist:

As an artist I cannot express myself more than when I draw, Drawing gives me the true freedom to create whatever I can imagine. Drawing gives me time to escape from reality and pulls me from my darkest hours. The pencil is often my simplest freedom but moving to the pen, brush with oil or a chunk of wood with a sharp chisel allows me to explore my inner self and brings to my canvas, paper stock or wood a visible image to anyone looking.
